Prof. Dr. Andreja Žgajnar Gotvajn, a member of the Strategic Committee of the Water Research Center, visited University of Rwanda on January 15th & 16th 2025, where she met with the director of the “Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management” at the University of Rwanda, one of the partners in this CoRE. During this visit, she also delivered a public lecture on the pressing issue of micropollutants in wastewater (“Micropollutants in Wastewaters: European Legislation and Advanced Treatment Methods”). Through this lecture, she presented current research topics at UL FKKT and opened up opportunities for further research collaboration, particularly in applying for scientific research projects with African partners.
