WaterDataHub 1.0 is curated database of publicly available water-related data sources. The database is under development, and research paper entitled “AI-Driven Research Using Publicly Available Data: A Case Studyon Water Research – WaterDataHub 1.0”, authors Tea Dobovšek, Barbara Hribar-Lee, Miha Moškon, Andreja Žgajnar Gotvajn, Jane Tanner, and Zoran Bosnić, has been submitted for publication in Hydrology.


The work is being developed by Aljaž Sovič under the co-supervision of prof. dr. Zoran Bosnić, and prof. dr. Barbara Hribar-Lee.


Africa-Europe CoRE “Water Resources Management for Sustainable and Just Future” has been established in June 2023. It is comprised of 9 African and 7 European major Universities.

The paper “Cryptosporidium and Escherichia coli (E. coli) concentrations in three southwestern rivers of Ghana”, authors Saeed Ibn Idris Kofi Yeboah, Jane Tanner, and Tomaž Urbič, has been accepted for publication in Science of the Total Environment journal (Manuscript Number: STOTEN-D-26-01297R1).

The postoctoral research is co-supervised by Rhodes University and University of Ljubljana.

Zoran Bosnić (University of Ljubljana), Jane Tanner, and Saeed Yeboah (Rhodes University), and Djim Diongue (University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar) prepared, and carried out a workshop entitled “AI and Machine Learning in water research” within the ARUA 2025 Biennial International Conference at Makerere University in Uganda (October 2025).

 

The joint proposal for new doctoral school was submitted on  May 15th 2024, and approved by ARUA Executive Committee  in July 2024.
