Science Cafe

As part of the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project, Eutopia Health at University of Ljubljana organised the Science Cafe event on the topic of drinking water. Science Cafe is part of the activities within the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project, which aims to create transformative ecosystems of health innovation using integrative and transdisciplinary approaches. It promotes academic career paths for researchers in various ways and seeks to establish practices of open, civic, inclusive, and collaborative science.

At the event “What is in our glasses” that took place on Wednesday, September 10th 2025, and was moderated by assoc. prof. dr. Nataša Atanasova from the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Ljubljana, prof. dr. Barbara Hribar Lee, Water Research Center, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, prof. dr. Andreja Žgajnar Gotvajn, Water Research Center, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, dr. Manca Kovač Viršek, National Institute of Biology (NIB) , dr. Brigita Jamnik, JP VOKA SNAGA, and  Leon Mislej, representative of the Youth for Climate Justice Association (MZPP) discussed what affects water quality and how consumers themselves can influence higher water quality in their living environments.

The event was addressing, academic sphere, experts, and the general public to raise awareness of the measures that each individual can take to improve water quality in their environment.
