On 22 October 2024, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology hosted a screening of a short film and a lecture entitled “Consequences of Gibe Dam on Omo River for Flood Retreat Agriculture (Ethiopia)”, presented by a guest lecturer from Arba Mich University (Ethiopia), Eshetu Ewnetu Tegengne. The guest was introduced by Dr. Ana Sarah Lunaček Brumen, Associate Professor, Faculty of Arts. The event was organised by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Centre for Water Research, University of Ljubljana. In addition to students and staff, the event was also attended by external collaborators of the Centre for Water Research from the Faculty of Biotechnics, the Faculty of Administration and the Agricultural Institute.)
